Our Senior Adult Ministry focuses on individuals age 55 and up. They are a vital part of our church family!

How do I get connected at Emmanuel Baptist Church?
We suggest four entry points for senior adults who would like to become a little more involved in things at our church. You’re invited to explore one (or more!) of the following ways you can connect with us:

1.You can connect at our Sunday 11:00 a.m. Worship Service

It’s classic by design – you’ll enjoy your favorite hymns and worship choruses accompanied by piano and support orchestra. The choir enhances worship with anthems and other choral arrangements followed by solid, Bible preaching by Pastor Lou Fortier.

2.You can connect at our Sunday School

Age 50′s meet at 8:15 a.m. & 9:30 a.m.

Single Adult A meet in room 114B. Each week we promise you a relevant Bible study and discussion. The study meets twice on Sunday mornings to give you schedule options. Your choices are:

you can attend the 8:15 a.m. SA A Bible study then attend the 9:30 a.m. worship service
you can attend the 9:30 a.m. SA A Bible study then attend the 11 a.m. worship service

Age 60′s+ meet at 9:30 am

Adult 8 meet in room 113B for singles and couples. AI, Rex, Nola, and others will be glad to help you make some new friends during Bible Study time. Other classes at EBC are not age-specific and would be glad for you to visit; greeters at the doors can guide you.

3.You can connect at our 55+ Monthly Fellowship Events

Every month we get together to do something fun. Usually it’s a meal in our church Fellowship Hall the third Saturday of the month. Sometimes we do a cookout at a park, and sometimes we take a trip somewhere. You’re invited, and we love to make new friends!

4.You can connect at our Second Milers’ Choir

EBC’s Second Milers’ Choir meets Mondays at 9:30 am in our Fellowship Hall September through May and regularly sings at local nursing homes and retirement facilities. That ministry aspect is the center of what we’re all about. There’s no audition, and you don’t have to be a virtuoso! The emphasis is on ministry rather than a studio-perfect performance, and you’re invited!
