Lou’s communication style is unique. It utilizes biblical foundations with an intentional focus on daily living. You get the feeling he is speaking to you as a friend. He loves people and being a pastor. The enjoyment of leading the EBC family comes through with openness for others. We are continually discovering the life-changing power of God’s Word in loving community.
Our pastor was raised Roman Catholic which gives him an extra sensitivity for people of other traditions. Teaching the Bible in a humble, clear, and creative manner is one his greatest passions. He also enjoys the great outdoors, skiing, movies, cooking, reading, and the beach!.
Lou and Michele were married in 1985 and have three children (Brennan, Karis, and Jonathan). Michele is an educator by training (University of Florida). The pastor earned a Bachelor’s degree in Religion and New Testament Greek from Palm Beach Atlantic University www.pba.edu/, and Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry degrees from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary www.swbts.edu/ in Fort Worth, Texas. His dissertation title is “Congregational Worship Renewal in the Light of Spiritual Gifts.”

Paul Geldart was raised in South Carolina and graduated from Georgia Southern University in business administration. He attended Southwestern Seminary in Ft. Worth, TX and currently serves as Emmanuel Baptist Church's Minister with Single Adults and Outreach. Paul's goal in ministry is for people to understand that Christ is relevant to their lives today and that they can choose to follow Christ, resulting in changed lives.

Angie Moreno is a proud Texas native who for 8 years has enjoyed calling Overland Park home. She has pursued children's ministry for most of her adult life and was formerly involved in children's ministry at Prestonwood Baptist Church and First Baptist Carrolton. Angie received her degree and postgraduate education while in Texas where she also taught middle, elementary and preshool children. She was called to serve as Children's Director of Emmanuel Baptist in July, 2003 and enjoyed a long history with Emmanuel as a volunteer and children's leader before that time.

Casey is an accomplished youth minister with 12 years of sound leadership and ministry experience. He is a creative visionary for effective youth leadership development. Casey has a huge heart for reaching kids who don’t know Christ and their parents with the truth of God’s love in Jesus.
