Young Adults
At Emmanuel Baptist Church we promise you’ll find a welcoming and non-threatening environment for exploring how faith and life intersect. The following groups meet on Sunday mornings, and they frequently do things together during the week. Read on to see where you might connect!
CrossRoads (age mid–late 20s)
If you’re mid 20s and up (out of college, working, etc.) you’re invited to meet with Kendal Hershberger and Jennifer Longmire at EBC’s Sunday, 9:30 am “Common Ground” worship service. Greeters will be glad to introduce you. Following that service, they remain in the room for a brief time to discuss/apply the sermon. Often they do lunch together and hang out the rest of the afternoon. You’re invited, and they love to meet new friends! Here’s how to find the “Common Ground” service: As you face the building from the parking lot, enter the glass doors to the right of the steeple. Just inside, take the stairs down, and you’re there. Greeters at the door can help you find your place.
Connection Point for Adults
At Emmanuel Baptist Church, adults of all ages have an opportunity to meet new friends, stay connected, and continue their spiritual growth journey. If you are new to Emmanuel, you are invited to attend one of our Connection Point small group offerings at either 9:30 am in room 211C or 11 am in a classroom adjoining the Fellowship Hall. Connection Point small groups are designed to help you meet new people, learn more about our church, and be challenged to grow deeper in your walk with Christ. Emmanuel is a place where nobody walks alone! The 9:30 am and 11 am groups are open to all ages, and currently most young adults are choosing to attend the 9:30 am “Common Ground” worship service then remain in the Fellowship Hall for the 11 am Connection Point group.
If you’d like to give the 11 am group a try, you have two options:
- show up at 9:30 am for the Common Ground worship service. Greeters can take you to the Fellowship Hall and introduce you to Josias, who leads the 11 am group following that service.
- show up at 11 am and greeters can take you to the room where Josias and the group meet.
